I've Moved!

I can't believe I haven't updated this thing in almost two months. Two weekends ago Tom and I moved in together into an apartment in Montpelier. I still work in Burlington, so it's quite a commute. I want to get a job closer to here but haven't found one yet.

We're still unpacking. We just got a dresser today so we have a place to put our running clothes finally! We're missing a couch, dining room chairs, a coffee table, and end tables for the bedroom, but we'll slowly get them. If there's one thing I've had to learn this summer it's how to be patient. Cooking is difficult since our smoke detector seems to go off every time we use the oven.

I attempted to run a half marathon this morning but that didn't work out so well. I came down with something Thursday (sore throat, cough, nasal congestion) and it made it too difficult to run. It was the Shelburne half marathon, and I coudln't have asked for better conditions. It was so beautiful out there! I ran the first 6.7 miles, but if I could, I would have stopped at mile 3. I knew it wasn't smart to run, but I didn't know if I would get out there and feel fine. Oh well, I'll have to wait until the spring to race again.
