Cake Order: Ladybug Cake!

Last fall we had ladybugs all over our apartment. This fall the only ladybug we had was the cake I made yesterday for a former co-worker. I was very excited to make this cake because she provided me with the photos of cakes she liked, as well as her favorite.

I used a new chocolate cake recipe that I really liked. However, it needed far less cooking time than what the directions called for. The frosting was simple buttercream and instead of fondant, I used white modeling chocolate.

And on an unrelated topic, Tom and I had the opportunity to meet Joe Biden this week!
